BY Air : To travel to Nuwara Eliya by air, you will need to book a flight to Colombo (CMB) first, and then take a domestic scenic seaplane or air taxi to the hill country From India: Direct flights are available from major hubs like New Delhi, Chennai, and Mumbai to Bandaranaike International Airport in Colombo. The Department approves the purpose of entry to Sri Lanka. The applicant holds a passport valid for at least 6 months from the date of first arrival in Sri Lanka. The Department is satisfied that the applicant has sufficient funds for their stay in Sri Lanka, and for their return passage to their country of origin.
