Gulmarg

Located in the Baramulla district of the northern Kashmir Valley of the Indian union territory of Jammu and Kashmir, within the broader disputed Kashmir region, Gulmarg (meaning ""meadow of flowers"" in Kashmiri) is a town, hill station, tourist attraction, skiing destination, and notified area committee. It is situated 49 km (30 mi) from Srinagar and 31 km (19 mi) from Baramulla. The settlement is located inside the limits of Gulmarg Wildlife Sanctuary in the Western Himalayas, in the famous Pir Panjal Range of India.

IndiGo and SpiceJet are two popular Airlines connecting Gulmarg from main cities of India.

By air: Gulmarg has a domestic airport with daily flights from New Delhi.

The travel from Srinagar to Gulmarg takes one and a half hours. Additionally, Kushok Bakula Rimpoche Airport in Leh has connections to Chandigarh, Delhi, and Mumbai, while Jammu Airport has connections to both cities. However, it will take longer for these to get to Gulmarg.

A valid national passport and an Indian visa or e-Visa are required for entry into India, Kashmir, and Gulmarg. An Indian Mission is the place toget an Indian visa. IndiGo, Air India, Air India Express, Virgin Atlantic, SpiceJet, and Akasa Air .The nearest airport to Gulmarg is Srinagar (SXR) Airport which is 34.5 km away. Other nearby airports include Jammu (IXJ) (157.8 km).

By train:The Jammu Tawi Railway Station, the closest train station to Gulmarg, is situated 360 kilometers away in Jammu. The most well-known trains from India's largest cities arrive in Jammu: the Jammu Mail, the Jammu Tawi Express, and the New Delhi-Jammu Tawi Rajdhani Express. Private vehicles and taxis are available immediately outside the train station to get to different parts of Kashmir.
