The Japanese island of Honshu is home to Mount Fuji, an active stratovolcano with a summit elevation of 3,776.24 m (12,389 ft 3 in). Mount Fuji is roughly 80 kilometers (50 miles) away. Mount Fuji is roughly three hours and fifteen minutes away from Tokyo's main international airports, Tokyo International Airport (Haneda Airport) in Tokyo and Narita International Airport in Chiba.

BY Air : The closest airport with scheduled international service is Mt. Fuji Shizuoka Airport.It is about 80 km (50 mi) from Mount Fuji.  All foreign tourists must adhere to the terms of their visas and enter Japan with a valid passport for the duration of their stay. At the moment, a visa is not needed for travel to Japan for up to 90 days. BY Train :  A train travels from Tokyo's Shinjuku Station to Kawaguchiko Station, which is located at the foot of Mount Fuji. With three services operating daily, the trip takes about two hours. The bus typically departs early in the morning from a central location, such as Tokyo Station or Shinjuku. Depending on traffic, the trip to Mount Fuji takes two to three hours.
