Established in 1973, Chitwan National Park is Nepal’s first national park. Spanning (932 ext{ km}^2) in the subtropical Terai lowlands, this UNESCO World Heritage Site is renowned for its biodiversity. It is a premier sanctuary protecting the endangered Bengal tiger, the rare greater one-horned Asiatic rhinoceros, and numerous bird species.

Location: South-central Nepal, nestled at the base of the Siwalik Hills between the Narayani-Rapti and Reu river systems.
Climate: Subtropical with distinct seasons. Summers are hot and humid (monsoon from June-September), while winters (October-February) are cool and dry, providing ideal weather for wildlife viewing.

BY Air : Traveling to Chitwan National Park by air is the fastest and most comfortable way to reach the park, typically routing through Kathmandu. It involves a 25-30 minute domestic flight from Tribhuvan International Airport to Bharatpur Airport, followed by a short 30-minute taxi or private jeep ride (approx. 14–20 km) to your hotel in Sauraha. Passport must have six months or more validity remaining at the time of entry. One blank visa page available in passport for visa (not endorsements page) Nepali authorities generally allow entrance on an emergency passport printed overseas. Visa appropriate for purpose of travel.
BY Taxi : Traveling to Chitwan National Park by taxi is a convenient, flexible way to reach the park from major hubs in Nepal and India. Journeys typically take 4.5 to 6 hours from Kathmandu, or from Indian border towns like Gorakhpur.
